Private messaging will be a lot of work... just because none of the available solutions out there are all that great.

For example, most systems don't handle spam very well. So if a vendor spammer decided to manually target a bunch of us... we'd have no defense. Same goes for any angry trolls... they can just spam links to lots of users. This has happened on a number of other boards I've helped run, alas.

We'd like to have a system that we could adapt to resist this sort of stuff. For now, nothing like that exists... so we're going to hold off on a PM feature for now. Hopefully we'll have time to build something later.

In the meantime, please do comment if you'd like to see us prioritize this!

If there's a way to do it, it would be great! Sometimes you want to reply to a bee, but you don;t necessarily want everyone else here to see the message, say you;re sharing an email address
