@ChiCalGoBee: I posted a bit about the history of wall posting elsewhere... here's the back story!

When we first programmed walls (for another site), we made it so that people could delete posts on their walls. That made sense because most wall posts were just a quick note to friends, and we didn't have support for private wall posts yet.

Over time though, we added features like classifieds and walls started being used a bit differently. There was a situation where some members were trying to scam other users, who would then leave comments on the scammer's wall... who would then delete them. So we ended up having to remove the ability for people to delete wall posts, so that members could post warnings that wouldn't disappear. (Over time, we'd like to build a way for people to share these kinds of warnings through some sort of built-in Classifieds reputation system. Once that's in place, we can re-enable the ability to delete posts on your wall.)

In the meantime, if someone requests that we make a post on their wall private (I.e. Gold), then we will honor that request - as long as the comment isn't a warning about scamming or spamming. (Those we won't touch, so that bees can share warning with each other.). People mostly ask us to privatize old wall posts that have personal information that went up before Gold wall posts came out.

If there are any old wall posts that you'd like to make private, just let me know by posting to the help forum... or on my wall!

So in other words, we can definitely gold posts for you by request... but we're not in a position yet to allow anyone to gold posts, until we have some sort of built-in reputation system for the Classifieds.
