Not sure of this would be doable, but requiring maybe 10 or 20 posts before someone is able to have access to or buy stuff from classifieds. I'm tired of people with 0 posts swooping in and buying stuff from classifieds! I'm willing to guess that some or many never contribute to the site, but I could be wrong.

@petunia354: Is it a matter of trust, where someone without many posts is less trustworthy for following through on the transaction? Or do you mean more that when possible, sales should go to long-time members rather than new ones...

No, my issue isn't with trust, more that those who contribute to the site should benefit from the classifieds. On the other hand though, if the classifieds are bringing in new contributing members, that could be a good thing. Just my thoughts!

I agree - I think even a minimum of 50 posts which doesn't take long at all should be required - participate and you get additional benefits (eg: Classifieds)
Kinda like it unblocks once you hit 50 posts - if that's even possible

@petunia354: @Mamaof2: If we had a minimum post count to bid on the classifieds, older members would definitely "win" more listings... but sellers would also probably get a lower price.
My general sense is that we have to serve the sellers, because otherwise they will probably sell their listings elsewhere. But I do agree that it'd be nice if sellers could prioritize bids from long-time members! Not sure the best way to balance the two goals though... will have to talk it over with Bee!
