I would love to see notifications on the hellobee site (as opposed to just having the email option). Something similar to facebook with the number icon telling you how many notifications you have would be great, if that's feasible.
The email is nice but I tend to delete emails as soon as they come in and then forget which post I had a reply in. It might even encourage people to log in more often to check their notifications?

I was posting a thread that I knew was going to get a lot of "replies" and I didn't want to get loaded down with emails. So I turned off that feature. However, when I do feel like logging in, it would be nice to be able to link to those threads.
I also think this would solve the issue of clicking on gold links in email and then loosing the link when you have to log in.

yes this!! I would LOVE to see all my reply notifications within my email. It would make things so much more streamlined I think and easier to have a convo back and forth with someone.

I JUSt thought about this and came here to make this suggestion and it was #1 on the board already! That would be amazing. It's so hard to for me to check my email constantly. I would LOVE this and could respond to replies so much faster!

I was just noticing that some of my notification emails have been going into my Spam, so this feature would help since I have no way of tracking back to what notifications I missed.

Thought I would +1 this, FWIW. I often check and delete my emails out of habit, and then forget which threads had a response that I wanted to go and check when I log on here later. Notifications similar to WB or FB would be wonderful.

@mrbee: I've been thinking about this and thought of a (potential) solution that might not be too difficult to implement. Although you guys have already probably thought of potential solutions... just figured I'd put this out there in case you needed some ideas! 
What if, next to where it says: "Hello Adira (posts)" you added another link with a number, like "Hello Adira (posts) (3)" where the number indicated the number of notifications. Then when you click on the number, it brings you to a Notifications page, similar to the Favorites or Subscribed pages in our profile. Whenever you get a reply, in addition to sending the e-mail (or maybe an alternative option), you add the link to the Notifications page. Then when someone clicks on the link to the thread, it could either bring them straight to the reply or to the last post read (like the current Gold feature on the main boards). Then once it's been clicked on, the link can be removed from the Notifications page.

@mrbee: Sort of! Facebook has a little icon with a number and when you click it, it brings a drop-down with the links to all the items (speaking strictly web-browser - I think on the phone it's probably a different page and not a drop-down). But definitely very similar! I was just trying to think in terms of HB and a page in our profile with Notifications seems like the easiest way to handle it.

@mrbee: to me it sounds like the way google does notifications! At the top by the bell (assuming you use google plus)
