I noticed that the classifieds being displayed on the side bar include closed listings as well (e.g. my listing for "free offers: minted 20%off coupon"). Maybe it could just show listings that are still open, since it's a bit misleading. Thanks!

Hmm, I guess we could regenerate it every time a listing is closed? That might be a lot of server load though... think it's worth it? Let me know!

@mrbee: ohh... so you're saying, it only refreshses when someone creates a new listing? So, next time someone creates a new listing, my closed listing will disappear? Or are you saying that it's kind of a running list, where each time a new listing is created, it gets added to the list, but the list never gets updated to show only open listings..?
Well, it's not a big deal at all.. I just thought it might be a bug but sounds like it's a "feature" .. not worth spending a lot of time, I think.

@mrbee: So, somone posted a new listing, and my minted listing is still on the side bar. So it looks like maybe the list is more a running tally of all listings rather than a list of active/open listings?
This isn't really a big deal to me at all.. just something I noticed. But maybe the query that generates the classifieds sidebar could easily be modified to just show open listings.

@T-Mom: we just did this! When the next Classifieds listing is made, the sidebar should regenerate with only open listings.
