Or maybe if people wanted to get notified somehow when certain new topics/questions were posted, they could. Especially later on when older members may not frequent the site as much but would have a wealth of information on a topic.

This would probably tie into being able to PM members. I just remember when my pregnancy got uber-complicated that I was desperate to connect with people who had possibly similar issues. I'm trying to think long-term with creating a community so that people can reach out to each other for advice.

Interesting!

Hmm, we could probably add profile tags... so that you could add a tag to your profile, and if you clicked on that tag you could see all the members who had tagged themselves with that phrase.

But what would a profile tag do beyond that? Just want to make sure I understand the suggestion before responding!

Would there be a way to add tags or something to our profile that would label us in various ways? Or maybe have volunteer "experts" that people could page/question? For example, I've been through pretty much everything possible that's preemie or NICU related, so I'd be able to answer questions about that. And after exclusive pumping for 9 months now, I have a lot of experience there too. Others may have in depth experience with breastfeeding or other specific topics.
