Maybe once you scroll past the header (no longer in the view of the page) a small one pops up on the lower right (along the white center piece) with the "tape" look going vertical rather than horizontal (wiggly edges at the top rather than the side) and says something simple like "scroll to top". With the new graying out feature of threads you've read, you have to click onto the boards link at the top of the page or refresh the page once you've hit back to see the thread grayed out. That can be a lot of scrolling (maybe it is just me) on very lengthy threads. Perhaps a link a the bottom of a thread that is a scroll to top link? </p>
