@mrbee: It does help some, thanks! I think maybe it helps to keep the galleries smaller, too, so there's an increased chance of people being able to fit the visual gallery on the screen at the same time as the descriptions below.

@PawPrints: We tweaked the layout of the guides to include both the number and the name of the product:

http://www.hellobee.com/2012/10/15/skincare-essentials/

I know it doesn't go 100% of the way to addressing the issue you raised, but hopefully it helps a bit!

I feel the same way, however I think that the layout of how you guys do photos for blog posts is SO cute. And I totally understand why you would choose look as opposed to layout function. It can be kind of a pain to have to go up and down multiple times though.

@PawPrints: Sorry for the frustration. :(

The images for our guides are optimized for Pinterest, which drives a lot of our traffic. So we don't have a lot of wiggle room here. Images with a lot of visual clutter don't get repinned.

Is it possible for you to open the same post in two browser window, so that it's easier to compare the text and the pictures more easily?

Is anyone else perpetually irritated by the way that galleries of photos appear on the blogs? I use a really large monitor, and even then I have to scroll up and down and up and down to mentally connect the image of each item with its name, price, and other listed details. Today's post on shoulder bags is one example: http://www.hellobee.com/2012/07/30/10-stylishly-small-shoulder-bags/

I would love it if I could browse the photos of the purses and look somewhere close to each photo to read its name and price. Instead, I have to think "Oh number 5 looks cute, how much does that one cost? Scroll, scroll, okay it's $98, but oh look number 4 is only $24.95, is that one cute? I forget which one it is, scroll back up, scroll scroll..."

How about the photos in a column on one side with details on the right column? Or, details immediately underneath each photo?
