I would it if when you are reading a post that the categorizes are at the top. Instead of having to go back on the browser to get to the main page with the drop down. Like someone else said, like how on weddingbee you can be in the TTC board and then can click on homes to read that section.

Actually, ever since we simplified the number of categories, we haven't gotten any requests for this. Given how challenging this would be, I'm going to resolve this suggestion for now.

I also am not a fan of the double drop down, mostly because when deciding where to post a thread I can't look at them all at once to decide where I feel it best fits.

I'm working on an expanded version of the pulldowns that would show both categories and boards at the same time!

@coastinganon ‐ The Suggestions forum is separate from the boards... once we've added a few more features to it like voting, we'll add a SUGGESTIONS link to the tabs.

Holy heck - that is EXACTLY why I just came here to make a suggestion. It is super frustrating to use the drop down menus. Especially since I totally didn't know that there were subcategories under all of the other category pages since the 'all posts' one that is the default doesn't show subcategories.

Even knowing that they all had subcategories, I gave up trying to find 'suggestions' and just went to the sticky so I could get here that way.

@maisymay - Sure it could work like that, but then the design wouldn't be as design-y?

Let me know if you guys have any ideas on how to make that sort of layout look good. :-)

@mrbee - I think mamadreams means like how weddingbee shows all of the topics at the top, once you click on "wedding related" or "nwr" in the boards. That way each topic is a click away, not a scroll and a click.

It would be great to see some sort of hierarchy with the board topics, or a place where we can see all of the main topics. It would be more user friendly than having to click on the drop down menu.
