@dali137: Thank you again for sharing your story. It's the last post of the day, so it will be at the top of the blog all weekend. I think and hope that it will reach a number of people dealing with SIDS and grief.

A follow-up with useful resources would be beyond amazing, if and when you are up for it. Just let me know...

@dali137: Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am a twin myself, and reading about Sullivan and Emmitt moved me enormously. Sending so much love to you and your husband, and to your twins...

We would love to share your story on the blog. Could you send the photos to info@hellobee.com? Bee and I both get that email, so we can make sure to include your photos in the post. Thank you...

So I wrote my story... Please let me know what you think... I am hoping it can be part of a new topic series for you—if you had luck finding other authors—on loss, illness, etc.... maybe you could find authors to write about children/babies with life-threatening illnesses and how they deal and overcome.
I thought about including info on SIDs but I guess I'll leave that up to you. We aren't that far out yet, but I think I might like to do a follow-up with resources after we have some time to see what has been the most helpful. There are support groups and information channels but we have been focusing on moving forward atm.

anyway... https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zxjv5chlO2B6ymLBJlppktTH8UE0HE8_XMC8rJLp9KU/edit
If possible, I have some photos top include as well. Let me know... thanks!

It is difficult to talk about, although writing, in an online blog-type setting, could be cathartic I think. I actually was inspired, after reading your reply earlier today, to start writing... I think, for my own story, it is more complicated than some SIDs stories could be... as our Emmitt was a twin. We are very much still reeling from the loss, trying to figure out how to parent our surviving son through grief and try to get back to the parents we were or were becoming... those free range parents that didn't check if their babies were breathing every 2 seconds... or freak out over every cry.

Anyway, I would like to share if I could, but it might lean more towards the difficulties of parenting after a loss... in general and specifically related to twins, as you get no break between parenting a baby of the same age and we're often, daily, reminded of his brother, as he reaches new milestones, etc.

Please let me know if there are any guidelines to follow. Throughout this twin journey I have meant to get our family blog going but never did get around to it. Perhaps this would be a step in that direction and motivate me ;)

Thank you for your reply. I do look forward to the opportunity... hoping to shed some light on the subject.

@dali137: I'm sooooo sorry to hear about your baby!! :(

Thank you for your kind words about the site. I just mentioned your suggestion to Mrs. Bee, and she thought it was a great one; we will be on the lookup for writers that can cover the topic.

In the meantime, would you be open to sharing your story as a guest blog? I am sure it's an incredibly difficult topic to talk about, so I would totally understand if you would rather read than write about this...

Just wondering if there is anyone you could get to write about what really happens when you lose a child to SIDs or something else. It may not be the brightest topic, but having recently lost a 5month old to SIDs I know the content available is lacking. I have always enjoyed the quality posts form your writers so I thought I'd search the archives for something... no dice, other than SIDs fears.
