Sometimes I'll notice something as minor as a spelling error in one of my posts when I go back to a thread later in the day and it makes me crazy that I can't fix it! And I like the idea of an automated time stamp that identifies the post as having been edited. Perhaps extend to 24 hours? The majority of threads have died down by that point and people likely have moved on and won't be worrying about editing. </p>
