I'm starting to notice that I'm referring to my mom more as Mee Maw ( name we're using instead of grandma) and DH as Daddy. My LO is almost 9 months. At some point everyone goes through this name change. My grandmother went from mom to gran to GG (great-grandmother).
Has it happened in your family yet? Have you noticed it starting to happen?

Yep...my grandpas went from just Grandpa to Papa Don and Papa Bob, because my dad became "Papa" when DS was born. Same with my grandmother (one grandmother passed before DS was born)
It's been almost 6 years, though, since DS was born, so calling my mom "gramma" and my dad "papa" is second nature at this point.

I started calling DH "appa" (dad in korean) and he started calling me "umma" since day 1. Our DD learned our "names" really quickly.
I still call my mom, mommy and umma, but when my DD is around I'll refer to her as halmuhnee.. same goes for everyone else in my fam! and DH's fam.

I said I would never be one of those wives who calls their DH "Daddy" but never say never, right? I call him Daddy all the time now with LO and of course she says Daddy but doesn't call me me Mama or Mommy yet 
But I only call him Daddy when LO is with us.

I refer to DH as daddy when I talk to the dogs (im very sad) so im sure it will be an easy transition when LO is born!! Aaw, I want to be Mee Maw when I'm a grandmother!!

My SIL calls herself mommy and her husband daddy like even in normal conversation with adults. It makes me crazy. We do when we're talking with/around the kids, but not to each other or with other adults.
